This scene here is the newest scene that is under construction. The coaling tower is the only thing left over from the steam days of railroading on the B&O. There are no plans to take it down, but are plans on preserving it. After it is complete there will be a B&O hopper on display with the coal tower. Part III The grass has finally been started. I know some of you are probably wondering why there is no ballast under the tower. Well since the railroad workers have been lazy the have not cut the grass in years and it grew up through all the ballast. Even a tree grew over time.    The hopper car sitting under the tower is a former Southern Pennsylvania Railroad Hopper. It was dropped off there and forgotten about. |
