Returning to hobby after many years. I want to stop/hide train in tunnel until another train approaches the tunnel and automatically turns the tunnel block back on to allow the first train to "return to the world".
Used to control trains with reed switches and snap relays. Always hated reed swiches because they were so fragile. Is there an inexpensive way to make a train trigger a snap relay?
I understand ohms law and there is a radio shack nearby. I'm on a budget-- so elegant/expensive/prebuilt solutions are painful. Obviously I am not DCC yet. Thanks in advance.
